Women’s Aid offers half a day in-house training to agencies/ organisations by request on the topic of: ‘Vicarious trauma: impact, solutions and   children’s involvement in developing refuge provision (Fitzpatrick et al., ), and through the Scottish Women’s Aid Listen Louder campaign, in which young people advocated for the development of specific support services (see, for example, Scottish Parliament,Houghton, ).

Children and young people experiencing domestic abuse can have their safety and well-being severely undermined as a result of living with domestic abuse. All children witnessing domestic abuse are being emotionally abused.

Some children may be directly physically or sexually abuse by the perpetrator. Young people may also be experiencing or perpetrating abuse in their Children and Young People and Domestic Abuse.

All families disagree sometimes. When they disagree, some families argue in quiet voices and/or some families yell and scream at each other. However, in some families, people hit with their hands and fists or with sticks and other weapons that hurt, including nasty words or Stirling and District Women's Aid aims to offer support, information and temporary accommodation for women and their children who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused by a partner or former partner.
